How to Eliminate Self-Doubt Forever

(Do)n't Qu(it)

Friend, self-doubt can creep in and mess with your confidence when you least expect it.

But you don’t have to let it take the wheel.

Here are five practical ways to shut it down and keep moving forward:

Take stock of your wins

Think back on everything you’ve accomplished, big or small.

The bad moments like to stick in your brain and fuel self-doubt.

So, focus on the wins, and keep those front of mind instead.

I personally keep a to-do list throughout the week and track my goals.

Until recently, I used to delete the list and start a new one for the following week.

This left me on auto-pilot with no real reflection on the things I were achieving.

If you’re the same, I suggest you reflect at the end of every week.

What did you accomplish?

Be proud of that and keep those old to-do lists somewhere, they’re a solid reminder of how capable you are.

Lean into positive affirmations

I’m not referring to shouting “I’m the shit” in the mirror here.

Truthfully, that does nothing.

But what you say about yourself matters.

Calling yourself “stupid” for every minor error will have a long-term detrimental impact.

Learn to take compliments

When someone compliments you, accept it.

Don’t downplay it or brush it off.

A simple “thank you” works fine.

Let compliments remind you of your strengths.

Use them as fuel to grow and leverage that momentum.

Challenge your inner critic

Negative thoughts aren’t always truthful.

When they show up, call them out.

Look for evidence that proves them wrong.

Try writing those thoughts down, it helps you see them for what they are:

Just thoughts, not facts.

Make peace with failure

Failure is part of the process.

It’s how you learn, adapt, and grow.

The most successful people fail all the time.

They just don’t let it stop them.

So, why should you?

The bottom line…

Self-doubt only has the power you give it.

Take steps to manage it, and watch your confidence grow.
